THE LORD'S PRAYER

Jesus' got with his passe & gave them a great schoolyard lesson on how they should do this thing called "pray."  Naturally, He gave them the greatest answer ever. It's found in Matthew 6. I learned to pray from this model & even pray the prayer Jesus taught them--with my own spin on it...

God, you are in heaven & holy is your name.

Your Kingdom will come & your will will be done--on Earth, just like it is in Heaven.

Today, give us just what we need.

And forgive us of our screw ups as we forgive those who screw up against us.

And lead us not to be tempted. But set us free!

For yours IS the Kingdom AND the power AND the glory. Forever and ever! Amen!

(Matthew 6)

before you start to put your "own spin" on GODS' HOLY WORD, & feel it is OK to use the name of GOD in the same text of the words "screw up" you might want to read:
second Timothy ch. 2, vs. 25 & 26... of the King James version of the Bible..

It is not ok to distort Matthew ch.6 which contains the LORDS' prayer & bring it down to
street level... you seem to be trying to do a "good thing" but are ill advised..

another passage you might want to read is.. Revelations ch:22 vs. 18 & 19....

Just a thought, "loves builds up but knowledge puffs up...." that's somewhere in the Bible..:) oh...."speak the truth in love..." oh yea.... "let you speech be FULL OF GRACE seasoned with salt." Here's my point, if you are concerned, use your name, let her know lovingly, and win over the brother (in this case sister). Anyway, my 2 cents....
