No matter our leadership role, when the stress is high, so is the probability for a headache.  A few years ago, my oldest, DJ, got his first headache. You can see here he conjured up his own remedy: strapping on a pair of tight, tinted goggles.  When I asked if it helped, he looked at me (with a lil Cuban attitude) and said, "My headache's already gone!" So there you have it. Maybe instead of popping Advil left and right, I should just strap on a pair of goggles. Not sure if you get headaches from stress, but if you do, start with a remedy of a "time-out" (we give time-out's to our kids but we never give them to ourselves) and add an Rx of prayer cause God's in everything...even our stresses & headaches.

Great tips, especially the 'time out'! Sometimes adults need them too!

Only those of us who have lived with the head pain can actually appreciate the goggle remedy. I had a rare disorder called trigeminal neuralgia for 5 years. Head pain day and night and I nearly lost my mind. I think I would have tried anything and believe me I think I did. Can't say I reached in my beach bag for goggles but I did actually reach for my Bible in the middle of the night when I could not sleep and was up doing major brain battle. I learned to fill my mind with God's word during some of the darkest and most painful years of my life. There was no pain med's I could take and had to learn to deal with it. There were days when only tears could speak for me and nights I prayed to just go to heaven already. I never lost faith or hope that God would heal me and He did on October 6th 2006. It was a day I will never ever forget. I now have a real appreciation for headache free days. My heart is tender for people who are in pain. I like to have faith for them because that is exactly what I needed...someone to come along side of me and walk with me through those painful days. Thank God He was that someone for me. Love Love Love your post today.
