CURSE THESE BOOTS!

"First pride, then the crash—the bigger the ego, the harder the fall."(Prov. 16:18)  Let's talk about that verse. A few years ago, in my new killer boots, I had the privilege of tripping & falling down the stairs in front of a group of people. I didn't want to deny you the privilege of laughing, so pictured is my precise reenactment.  All I could think was that there was some hidden pride lurking in me that needed to be uprooted. Because? Because Christ, who is without pride, can not reside in a life where there is any. And let me tell ya...a sure-fire way to get rid of pride is to wipe-out in front of people. Oh, BTW, these boots are made by Nike. They are called Nike-Air boots. But I can't help but wonder if Nike Airborne might have been a better name...

We can't get Nike Airs like you are wearing in the picture HP perhaps it is also in the choices that we make, not to mention negligence and due care.

Heather,
You just crack me up at your willingness to allow us to have a laugh
At your expense! But truth be told, you wrap it up & hand us a profound
Message. Thank you girlie, people are reading & learning from you.
Think of you often....

I'm amazed that it was caught on film! I've fallen in public way to many times to mention. Just call me Lucy. Humility definitly comes after a fall. Thanks for sharing.

@Tamera - actually, after I fell, I dragged a friend back to the scene of the humiliation and had her snap a pic of me as I reenacted it. Anything for a good blog post! LOL! :)
