I USED TO THINK CHRISTIANS WERE WEIRD

I used to think Christians were stiff. I used to think church was for good people. I used to think the bible was boring. I used to think prayer didn't work. I used to think Christian counseling was for drama queens (& kings).  I used to think miracles were for Disney movies.  I used to think journaling was for book-club groupee's. I used to think bible memorization was for men of the cloth. Used to think raising my hands in worship was for Christians on drugs. And then?  I stopped thinking those things & started living them. And? ...tried to stop thinking so much. :)

Yup, we're weird! But I hope it's less about 'us' and 'them' and more about how all of us are weird in different ways! :)

It's OK to be WEIRD!

"Weirdness" is always defined by the predominant group. It's understandable to feel uncomfortable about being called weird. But it's all about peer pressure, not actual matters of good/bad or right/wrong. For a believer, all that matters is one label and one person's acceptance. The Christian life may be uncomfortable, but it's so much simpler.
